Introduction to Assessments and Tools: Protective Factors Survey is workshop #3 in the Introduction to Assessments and Tools Series.

This Series introduces (or offers a refresher on) commonly used, evidence-based and evidence-informed assessments and tools for working with families, youth, and children. Each workshop focuses on a different tool or approach, aiming to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills needed to support positive outcomes in their work.

Workshop Overview:

In this session, participants will explore the Protective Factors Survey (PFS) which is designed to help measure and assess protective factors that helps prevent risk of adverse experiences.

Through discussion and examples, participants will learn (or review) how to use and score with the PFS, which provides a snapshot of the families they work with, helps identify changes in their protective factors, and supports a focus on strengthening them.

This workshop is ideal for anyone in the FRN network, and/or those who support families with children of any age, including home visitors, parent educators, family support workers, etc.
