Child and Youth Development Series
This comprehensive training series is designed to support Home Visitors, Family Resource Network Practitioners, and other professionals who work with families and children aged 0 to 18 years.

The series includes the following age-specific workshops:  

  • The First Year (0–12 months)
  • Ages 1–3
  • Ages 4–6
  • Ages 7–9
  • Ages 10–12
  • Ages 13–15
  • Ages 16–18

Workshop Overview: 

The First Year 

Focusing on child development in the first year of life, this foundational workshop is perfect for those new to the field of child development or seeking a practical refresher.

Participants will:

  • Explore topics such as prenatal development, newborn sleep, temperament, and serve and return interactions
  • Discuss age-specific and domain-specific development
  • Help caregivers understand how their actions influence their child's ongoing development
  • Address common questions caregivers may ask about their child’s development

Prerequisite:

  • There is no prerequisite for the training. You can choose any age group session you are interested in.

  • For this interactive training, each attendee needs: a computer with a camera, microphone, and stable internet connection.

  • Non Members: $50

Cancellation Policy:

Registration costs are non-refundable.

We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants. Cancellations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the scheduled workshop date.

Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be canceled approximately ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration costs will be refunded.
