This workshop is essential for Home Visitors, FRN Team Members, and Supervisors involved in programs or agencies implementing the AHVNA Family Violence Protocol. The Protocol outlines how to screen for family violence and the appropriate responses to both positive and negative screenings.

  • There is no prerequisite for this training

The training will cover:

  • Understanding relationships impacted by family violence: Regardless of prior education or experience, this section ensures all participants share a common understanding of the issues.
  • Protocol Procedures: Participants will practice screening and responding to family violence disclosures.

Requirements for Participation:

  • For this interactive training, each attendee needs: a computer with a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection
  • A certificate will be awarded to those who complete all four sessions, actively participate in breakout rooms and activities
  • Please read the AHVNA Protocol and appendices before attending. The Protocol will be emailed to registered participants beforehand

We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants. Cancelations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the scheduled workshop date.

Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be canceled approximately ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration costs will be refunded.
