Motivational Interviewing Level 2 is a deeper exploration of the skills and strategies that work to increase readiness to change. Participants of Motivational Interviewing Level 2 will further develop and strengthen their basic skills, and learn advanced skills through live practice, receiving feedback, video analysis, and large and small group activities.

Review of Level 1 materials before the scheduled commencement date is strongly recommended. Please note there is a prerequisite for this course.

Completion of Motivational Interviewing Level 1 is required (completion must be within one year of commencing Level 2)

Participants will:

Increase empathy skills, especially complex reflections
Describe and implement advanced partnership skills
Improve timing of the shift to planning (from why to how)
Practice advanced skills for strengthening change talk and softening don't change talk
Learn several way of focusing in partnership with clients

Requirements for Participation:

Registrants will be emailed the workbook and expected to print a copy prior to the training.
Participants must attend the entire training in order to receive a certificate.
For this interactive training, each attendee needs a computer with a camera, microphone, and stable internet connection.

Cancellation Policy:

Registration costs are non-refundable.

We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants. Cancellations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the scheduled workshop date.

Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be cancelled approximately ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration costs will be refunded.
