Terrific Toddlers is the third session in the Introduction to Child Development workshop series. This series is designed to support Home Visitors, Family Resource Network Practitioners, and others who serve and support families with children from 0-6 years. This workshop is particularly ideal for professionals working with families with children aged 12-36 months. Terrific Toddlers caters to individuals who are new to the field of child development, as well as those who have some knowledge and seek a practical refresher with a focus on home visitation and family support.

Workshop Overview:

Prerequisite:

  • Completion of Introduction to Child Development (Session #1) is required for those new to the field of child development. If you have studied or updated your knowledge in child development within the past 10 years, or if you are currently working in childcare or child development, this introductory session is optional.

Participant will:

  • Explore topics such as tantrums, cause and effect, safety, and pretend play
  • Discuss age-specific and domain-specific development
  • Help caregivers connect their actions to their child’s ongoing development
  • Address common questions caregivers may ask about their child’s development

Cancelation Policy:

Registration costs are non-refundable.

We encourage you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the workshop, as there is a NO SHOW charge for all absent registrants. Cancelations need to be made ONE WEEK prior to the scheduled workshop date.

Should a workshop not reach its minimum registration requirement, it will be canceled approximately ONE WEEK prior to the workshop commencement date. Registrants will be informed by email or telephone, and registration costs will be refunded.
